“Statues” is part of my current body of work called “Unsupportable Absurdities”. It consists of three black and white photographs that show myself posing as male statues, which are well known in the canon of Western art history. The images are staged on my kitchen table. I am interested in the dynamics that occur, when I use my own body to recreate the poses which appear in the originals all in the form of the male body.
